Horn’s Ferry Hideaway has two gorgeous cabins located about 50 yards from the banks of the Des Moines River, right below Red Rock Damn, and only a two minute drive from Iowa’s largest lake.
Lake Red Rock was created in 1969 by the Corps of Engineers as part of a flood control project. The lake is an ideal location for anglers of all skill levels, and is considered Iowa’s premier destination for crappie fishing.
Located just 7 miles from the scenic and lovely town of Pella, these cabins allow you to enjoy all of the relaxation of nature with all the sites and activities of the nearby town.
These charming studio cabins are located in a very secluded, wooded setting. The property is located between a federally managed savanna refuge and the 32 acre Gladys Black Bald Eagle Refuge. This makes the cabins an ideal location for winter bird watching.
Each cabin comes with a fully equipped kitchen, large jacuzzi tub, king size bed, fireplace/air conditioning, satellite tv with surround sound and so much more! They have all of the modern conveniences you’ll want combined with the quiet you crave. There is also a screened in porch looking into the eagle refuge, providing excellent viewing of wildlife that frequent the area.
